LIFE SUPPORT SYSTEMS
TOTAL SUSTAINABILITY
GENERATIVE ENGINEERING OF ENGINEERED ENVIRONMENTS FOR LIFE SUPPORT
OBJECTIVES   TO RESEARCH, DEVELOP AND DEPLOY - TOTALLY SUSTAINABLE LIFE SUPPORT SYSTEMS: Organic life-support systems depend on a specific set of conditions being present in the physical environment. When those conditions are absent life will expire unless life-sustaining conditions are created and maintained by a life support system (e.g. submarine, biosphere).   CELLULAR DISTRIBUTED PRODUCTION SYSTEMS All man-made life-support systems will wear and fail, so that local means of repairing and regenerating all of its machinery must be part of the system. This requires distributed local manufacturing based on modular integrated design and cellular systems including cellular communications.   ENVIRONMENTALLY SUSTAINABLE SYSTEMS A Closed-Cycle Environmental Life-Support System will recycle all organic materials and maintain a life-supporting physical environment internally but it will also need to acquire energy from and exchange materials with its surrounding environment and so it should ensure that the materials it exchanges are life compatible and sustainably recycled. ACCELERATED NATURAL CLIMATE RECOVERY A man-made life-support system exchanging materials with the surrounding natural environment should do more than act to maintain the status quo in its internal and external environments it should have the capability to correct any variation of these environments from life-supporting conditions.
