REVIVE
When the
Survive Strategy has been implemented -
•
Survival Systems, including life support and regeneration subsystems, will
•
provide advanced technology ‘arks’ as a bridge to a non-polluting future
and the
Thrive Strategy has been implemented -
•
the cost of production will decrease dramatically and
•
production volumes can increase exponentially without pollution,
then the
Revive Strategy is enabled, where first -
TECHNOLOGY: for
POWER:
bulk, clean 100% renewable energy, that is reliable via H
2
liquid fuel storage
then with cheap bulk clean energy -
WATER:
plentiful fresh water from seawater desalination can be available to
meet all human water needs, including intensive agriculture & industry
then with ample clean energy and water human nutrition can be provided by -
FOOD:
produced in multi-hazard resilient, climate-controlled, water recycling,
pest protected, greenhouses for intensive aquaponics
then with power > water > food sufficient for human needs supplied by technology, not
taken from natural ecosystems, the second stage Revive Strategy addresses -
ENVIRONMENT: regeneration via
RAINWATER:
rainwater can be entirely returned to the natural environment.
then with rainfall available for natural ecosystems -
REFORESTATION:
marginal farmland can be returned to ecosystems, and
old growth forests allowed to re-establish themselves
then finally -
FLORA & FAUNA:
that has been protected in climate-controlled biosphere habitats
(zoos) during survive & thrive stages can be bred up and released.
